Lord of the Strings has wowed fans all over the globe in over 120 countries. From standing ovations and sold out shows at the 2017 Edinburgh Festival Fringe, to touring with the original Buena Vista Social Club, Billy Connolly, Michael Crawford, Shirley Bassey and Natalie Cole, Matthew Fagan is renowned as Australia's leading acoustic guitarist. In February he is pleased to presents Lord of the Strings with EGO The Electric Guitar Orchestra at Charlton.

From Bach to the Beatles, Flamenco to Blues and Celtic Harp Music on a unique 10 string guitar, audiences will be captivated by the magical repertoire which spans many eras and cultures.

Lord of the Strings is the ultimate music journey.

Matthew tells stories of his life on the road working with comedian celebrities Billy Connolly and Michael Crawford. This virtuoso performs a hilarious "guitar challenge" where Matthew asks the audience to choose the instruments and he performs on the instruments chosen. 

EGO is a 'virtual' guitar orchestra with Matthew performing multiple guitar parts from Led Zepplin, Deep Purple and contemporary metal masters, to Classical masters Beethoven and Vivaldi.

Local community guitarists are invited to join Matthew for a group performance as part of EGO and as a highlight of a Lord of the Strings show.
 
The impressive 10-String Guitar Celtic arrangements Matthew composed for touring with Billy Connolly and music from a special album "A Song for Billy" which features

Billy Connolly's own banjo given to Matthew from Billy himself after their 53 night tour of Australia together. "A Song for Billy" is a project to raise awareness for Parkinsons Research.

The climax of the concert is Matthew's virtuosic hit rendition of J.S Bach's Tocatta which featured on ABC TV.

For ukulele lovers, Matthew takes you on a voyage around the world on ukulele with highlights from his debut ukulele CD Ukuleleland recorded in the USA. This CD includes the beautiful music of Spain, Latin American,  and other world/folk music. Audiences are continually amazed, re-inspired, and some even become converted to be fans of the Ukulele after seeing Matthew Fagan's performance it really sounds that good.

Matthew performs on several instrument including: a unique handmade 10 String Spanish Guitar, Celtic Steel String Guitar, Custom Electric Guitar, Godin Nylon Synth Guitar, Maton Tenor Ukulele, Banjo, Fretless oud Guitar, and Weissenbaum Hawaiian Guitar.
